SUNY Potsdam Information Literacy Tutorials
As part of the General Education Program, students in classes with the Freshman Critical Thinking (FC), Freshman Speaking (FS), and Freshman Writing (FW) courses are introduced to the basic skills and concepts that define an information literate person. A more sophisticated understanding and skill base for information literacy is covered within the courses for a major. - Research in Databases (FW/FS): Introduction to searching formal databases for articles and other resources.
- Searching the Free Web (FC): Searching and evaluating the free web, issues of academic use with Google and Wikipedia, other significant academic issues.
